Coach Monica Braswell and the Tigerettes from Macon County split two important District 9AA contests this week. They entered the week sporting a record of 16 wins and 12 losses.

In a non-conference game on Monday April 16th, Macon hosted Friendship Christian. Macon pitcher Chelsea Carter had a rough game giving up four earned runs on eight hits. Clara Howser went 2 for 3 with two doubles and Kaitlin Cartwright scored the only run for the Tigerettes as Macon loses by a final score of 1-4.

On Tuesday the 17th, Macon County would travel to face the District 9AA Greenbrier Lady Cats. Greenbrier had no intentions of keeping the game as close as their 3-2 victory over MCHS earlier in the season. Macon gave up 12 total hits and committed 3 errors in route to a 0-10 loss after five innings.

To close out the week the Tigers hosted the Lady Eagles from Westmoreland on Thursday for the second district game of the week. The bats were working early as the Tigerettes scored in all six individual innings. Katie Reid went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and scored one run while Becca Ballou, Alyssa Tuck and Jessica Lancaster all hit .500 in the game. Chelsea Carter went the distance and is credited with the win as the Tigerettes claim victory by a score of 12-2.

Next week Macon is scheduled to play at home against Smith County on Monday the 23rd and at Sycamore the following day. They are then scheduled to travel to Friendship on Thursday the 25th and return home to face the Goodpasture Lady Cougars on Friday the 26th.
