RBS THUMPS PICKETT COUNTY

8-21rbsfb

In week 0 action the Bulldogs of RBS traveled to Pickett County to take on the Bobcats in Region 4A play.

The Bulldogs are coming off of a 2-8 record from the past year but were looking very confident already in this first game.

The stands where filled as the game got underway. The Dogs didn’t hesitate by forcing a three and out on the Bobcats first drive. The scoring summary for this game goes like this, with 5:53 left in the first,  RBS #8 Terrance Alexander took it in from 3 yds out, extra point attempt no good making it 6-0. With 11:23 left in the second RBS #23 Eddie Alexander took it in from 3yds out, extra point attempt no good making it 12-0. With 5:23 left in the second RBS #7 Kason Wix took it in from 2yds out, extra point no good making it 18-0. With 5:11 left in the fourth RBS #8 Terrance Alexander took it in from 2yds out, extra point no good making it 24-0. Then after a great defensive game the Bobcats made a drive and capped it off with a 26 yd pass, completed the 2pt conversion making the score 24-8. But the Bulldogs weren’t finished with 36 sec. left in the fourth RBS #8 T. Alexander took it to the house, extra point no good. That ended the game with the final score being 30-8 Bulldogs on top.

Leading in the statics this week on offense was #21 AJ Dale with a total of 67yds. on 13 carries. And on defense #45 Jeffrey Nelson with 7 tackles. Coach Shoulders was unavailable for a post game report, but I’m sure he was pleased.

The Bulldogs will be on the road again this coming Friday to take on the 0-1 Saints of Mt. Juliet Christian Academy.
