Macon Golf has Good Showing
On Monday August 27th, the MCHS Golf Team traveled to Hendersonville, TN to participate in a 18 hole tournament held at Blue Grass Yacht & CC. The tournament had 12 boys teams and 9 girl teams, most of which were AAA Class schools. Our Boys team came in 5th with a total score of 325. The girls team came in 3rd place with a total score of 168.
MCHS individual scores were: Zach Polston 77,Larken Whittemore 81, Ian Whittemore 82, Austin Williams 85, Trey Reid 91, Kaitlin Cartwright 82, Lauren Gammons 86, Kaleigh Chitwood 90
On Tuesday August 28th, MCHS hosted Friendship Christian and RBS at home at the Macon County Golf Course. The MCHS Boys win with a total of 135, Friendship Christian 156 and RBS 202. The MCHS Girls win with a total of 75 to RBS 104.
MCHS Boys Individual scores were Larken Whittemore 32 (3 under par); Zach Polston 34 (1 under par); Ian Whittemore 34 (1 under Par); Austin Williams 35 (even par); Trey Reid 40; Mason Gunter 42; and Kurtis Butcher 46. MCHS Girls individual scores were Kaleigh Chitwood 37; Kaitlin Cartwright 38; Lauren Gammons 42; Mackenzie Mix 43; Delaney Johnson 43; Leah Johnson 49; and Carmeron Toornburg 58.
RBS Boys Individuals scores were Cameron Wilson 42; Bailey Chapman 48; Ethan Norman 54; Donavon Greadnead 58; Cody Gravens 63; Austin Crowe 66. RBS Girls individual scores were Victoria Rich 41; Savannah Green 63.
On Thursday August 30th, the MCHS Golf team traveled to Dickson, TN to play a match with Creekwood High School and Dickson County High School at Montgomery Bell State Park. The MCHS Boys tie Dickson County with a 138, which is 6 under par total and Creekwood High School total of 182. MCHS Girls tie with Dickson County with a total of 77 and Creekwood having no girls.
MCHS Boys individual were Ian Whittemore 32 (4 Under par); Trey Reid 32(4 under Par); Zach Polston 37; Austin Williams 37 and Larken Whittemore 37. MCHS Girls individual were Kaitlin Cartwright 36 (even par); Lauren Gammons 41; Kaleigh Chitwood 43.
