My View from the Press Box – MCJH vs. Livingston
The Macon County Junior High Tigers defeat Livingston Academy 16-14 to get to 6-0 on the season. This game was a great contest for both teams and fans.
Seth Carlisle scored on a 2 yard run which capped off a 60 yard 12 play drive to start the game. Jason Sewell added the 2 point conversion, Tigers lead 8-0. The Wildcats answered back with a 1 yard QB sneak in the second quarter. Two point play failed Tigers led 8-6. After a Tiger turnover on their own 2 yard line, the Wildcats took the lead on a 2 yard run by the QB Dillon. The conversion was good, 14-8 Wildcats late in the 3rd quarter. The Tigers answer right back as Bailey Law takes it to the house on a 73 yard TD run. Carlisle added the 2 point play to take the lead 16-14. The Tigers held off a late drive by the Wildcats to get the win. The victory breaks a 24 game win streak for Livingston.
Rushing: Law 11 carries 100 yards, Carlisle 11 carries 35 yards, Sewell 7 carries 34 yards, Crawford 3 carries 4 yards. Sewell led the defense with 8 tackles, Swindle 7 tackles, Carlisle 4 tackles. Butler, Law, Brawner, and Jones had 3 tackles each. Crawford, Dishmon, and Shrum, had 2 tackles each. Avera and Micah Barber had 1 tackle each.
The Tigers Travel to Westmoreland this Tuesday night to take on the Eagles. Come out and cheer the Tigers on to Victory and “I’ll see you at the game.”
