MCHS Golf has good showing at Dietrict Tournament
The MCHS Boys team won with a total of 314, 2nd place was Houston County with score of 341, and Stewart County with score of 360 all of which advance on to Regional Tournaments next week.
The District Tournaments consisted of 21 teams which was made up of 83 individuals. MCHS Boys scored: Zach Polston 75 (1st place medalist); Larken Whittemore 78 (Tied 4th, winning a three hole playoff); Ian Whittemore 79; Austin Williams 82 and Trey Reid 96.
The MCHS Girls placed 2nd with a 167 losing to Clarksville Academy’s 162 with 3rd going to Montgomery Central with a 189. Girls Districts consisted of 11 teams which were made up of 30 girls. MCHS Girls individually scored: Kaitlin Cartwright 81 (2nd place medalist); Kaleigh Chitwood 86 (tied 4th, winning a one hole playoff); Lauren Gammons 88.
