Local Man Killed in Wheelchair

THP Trooper Danny Fisher says that 21-year-old Ryan Huse, of Lafayette, was operating the eastbound 1995 Accord on January 16th when Donoho pulled directly into his path and the young man hit the wheelchair. “He tried to miss him, but couldn’t,” stated Fisher, who investigated the 4:00 p.m. traffic accident.

Trooper Fisher said he would like to extend his thanks to the agencies assisting him at the scene, which includes the Lafayette Police Department, Lafayette Fire Department, Macon County Sheriffs Office, the Macon County EMS and THP CIRT Sgt. Ashley Mercer. The Macon County Chronicle also responded to the crash site.

Dickie Donoho was laid to rest at the Anderson & Son Memorial Park on Friday, January 18, following 11:00 a.m. funeral services at the Alexander Funeral Home, which were conducted by Jerry Mercer. 

He is survived by daughter, Shauna & husband Richard Osborne; grandchildren, Chloe & Bristol Osborne; sister, Joann & husband Randall Goodman; sister-in-law, Maidean Dohono and several nieces & Nephews. Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
