White County Beats Macon in Finals of James C Haile Tournament

White County captured a decisive win over Macon County in the girls final of the James C. Haile State Tournament. The final score was 41-14 in favor of the young ladies from Sparta.

There isn’t much to say about this game. Unfortunately for Macon, they picked a really bad time to have one of their worst games of the season. Poor shooting and turnovers were something that they just couldn’t keep doing and overcome. Most Macon faithful didn’t have much hope as the Junior Tigerettes were down 7-23 at the half. More of the same in the final two quarters produced a thumping at the hands of White County. Final score MCJHS 14 White County 41.

Scoring for Macon was: Paige Clark 7, Kyndall Bullington 3, Kammie Yates 3, and Luci Allen 1. Jenna Russell, Sarah Carter, Kinsley Green, Keeley Clariday, Allie Dixon, Mallory Owens, Mattie Goolsby, and Krista Perkins all played but did not score. Bullington, Clark, and Green were named to the All-Tournament team for this event.
