MCHS Softball Opens District Play
The MCHS Tigerettes opened their District 9-AA season this week at home versus the Lady Blue Devils from White House. Macon grabbed a 9-3 win in a game they never trailed.
Pitcher Chelsea Carter got the win for the Tigerettes. She pitched a complete game giving up 2 earned runs on 8 hits facing 33 batters. Mary Belton went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and a Home Run, while Clara Howser went 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Kaitlyn Main and Sara Kittrell collected 2 RBIs as well. With the win they run their season record to 4 wins and 1 loss.
The Tigerettes next home game will be on March 26th against Sycamore. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
