MCHS Baseball Drops Two to White House

The Macon County High School Baseball Team got underway in district play this week taking on the White House Blue Devils. They lost both games in two more error filled contests.

On Wednesday the 27th White House came to Lafayette. Dalton Shrum took the mound for the Tigers and gave up one hit, one walk, and had four strike outs. The Tigers did not get any hits in this game and committed three defensive errors losing the contest 0-2.

MCHS would travel to White House for the second contest. Macon was able to score some runs as Tyler Kemp went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs on the day. However defensive struggles continue as Larkin Whittemore pitches 4 1/3 innings and Tyler Kemp finishes with 1 2/3 giving up a total of 8 hits and only one earned run. However, the Tigers commit 5 more errors and lose this game by a final score of 2-6.

Macon was scheduled to host an invitational tournament over the Easter weekend. However, the weather did not cooperate and games were canceled.

The Tigers will face Greenbrier and Smith County during their spring break week.
