Macon Junior High Soccer Off to Fast Start


The Macon County Junior High Soccer team has had a great start to their 2013 season.

The team currently has a record of 6-0 by defeating White House Heritage 3-1, Portland 5-0, White House Heritage 2-0, Carol Oakland 4-0, Jackson County 8-0, and Southside 2-1. The team has outscored its opponents 24-2 with an outstanding offensive performance by Kendrick Carter, Michael Ashburn, Jesse Overstreet, Connor Chaparro, and Kyle Dell’aquila supported by solid midfield play by Brandon Lau and Chance Presley. The defensive play has also been terrific by allowing only 2 goals in 6 games for an average of .33 goals per game. The defense includes Marshall Avera, Jordan Amos, and Cayden Shrum. Goal Keeper, Joseph Medrano, has had many great saves and continues to be a strong presence in the goal area. The team is supported by solid play from substitutes Shayd Goad, Matthew White, Ryan Carver, Ethan and Isaac Wakefield, Dalton Mee, Caleb Clark, Seth Barber, Jordan Powell, and Cameron Wohlgamuth. The rest of the season looks very promising.
