Crash Victim Dies at Vanderbilt

Trooper Danny Fisher stated that Hiland was driving a Honda 400 EX 4-wheeler east on Tanyard Road at a high rate of speed when she ran into another 4-wheerler driven by 25-year-old John Lee Coulter, of Lafayette. He was operating a Bombardier DS650.

“After she struck Coulter, her 4-wheeler flipped at least two times, before striking a stop sign and a wire fence,” said Trooper Fisher, who was assisted at the scene by THP Sgt. Ed Crouch. “She is also from Lafayette.”

She was unresponsive at the scene and after the Macon County EMS carried her to Macon County General Hospital to stablize her, Hiland was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
