Macon County 4-H Excels at Achievement D

altThe Central Region 4-H Achievement Day Contest was held on May 14th in Cookeville. 

This annual event is held to demonstrate achievement of 4-H members and provide recognition of their accomplishments in competitive as well as non-competitive events.  Macon County brought home 8 – 1st place awards; 3 – 2nd place awards; 2 – 3rd place awards; 3 – participation awards. 

Those members receiving awards were:

Samantha Bussell:   Entomology exhibit – 1st place & Entomology portfolio – 2nd place
Allyson Shoulders:  Clothing & Textiles exhibit – 1st place
Taylor Cox:      Horticulture/Garden exhibit – 2nd place & Sheep portfolio – 3rd place
Kade Allen:       Leadership exhibit – 1st place
Zachary Goad:       Horticulture/Garden portfolio – 1st place
Mia Brawner:      Entomology demonstration – 1st place
Kaylee Case:      Nutrition/Health exhibit – 2nd place; Nutrition/Health portfolio – participation
Kaylee Collins:     Horticulture/Garden demonstration – participation
