Nestlé Celebrates 10 Years in Macon County, Hosts Community Open House

“The Macon County community has been so welcoming to Nestle Waters, from day one,” said Eric Solomon, Nestle Waters Macon County Plant Manager. “We truly feel at home here and we want to celebrate this 10th anniversary milestone with our neighbors who have supported us.”

The Open House is a family event and will feature an open tour of the bottling facility, food prepared by the Lions Club, product samples, a kid’s Fun Zone, Project WET conservation exhibit, a classic car cruise-in and community exhibits.

“This is a special event to recognize our on-going commitment to Macon County and thank this wonderful community for a decade of pure friendship,” said Solomon. “We remain steadfastly dedicated to this community. From sustainably managing and protecting local water resources, to providing stable jobs and boosting the local economy, Nestle Waters strives to be a responsible partner in making Macon County a great place to live and work.”

Nestle Waters North America announced it was opening a Nestle Pure Life water bottling plant in Macon County in 2001. Construction on the plant started in 2003 and the plant opened the following year. Nestle Waters North America is a leader in sustainable and renewable water management practices and is the number one bottled water company in the U.S.
