Watertown Rolls over Bulldogs 41-7

The Watertown Purple Tigers roll to victory to beat the Red Boiling Springs 41-7.

The game opened slowly for both teams. Following multiple possessions by both teams in the opening quarter, the Tigers and the Bulldogs trade turnovers. Watertown eventually gets a 65 yard run for a touchdown to put the Purple Tigers up 7-0 with 3:56 left to go. Following a Bulldog punt, Watertown drives down the field and punches it in from 10 yards out to take a 14-0 lead with 10 seconds left in the half.

Watertown opens the 3rd quarter with a 40 yard touchdown pass to go up 21-0 with 8:51 to go in the quarter. After RBS punts the ball, the Purple Tigers complete a 65 yard touchdown pass with 5:57 left in the third to increase their lead to 28-0.  Watertown would complete a 70 yard pass for a touchdown to go up 34-0 with 11:48 to go. After trading turnovers, the Purple Tigers would connect on a 20 yard touchdown pass to make the score 41-0. On the next possession the Bulldogs would get timely runs by Dakota Dickens and Justin Bergdorff would score from 2 yards out to make the final score 41-7 Watertown.

The Bulldogs will be on the road again next week they will take on the Clay County Bulldogs on September 27th at 7:00 p.m.
