The Tigers defeat Prescott South Middle 34-14 to advance to the MTFC Championship game to face Livingston in a rematch. 

With the win, the Tigers are 7-1 on the season and have a chance to avenge the loss to the Wildcats on Sept. 19th. 

The Tigers Scored first on a 26 yard TD run by Carlisle, the 2pt play failed and the Tigers led 6-0.  The Bulldogs answered back and took the lead with 2:00 left in the 1st qtr on a 6 yd TD pass and 2pt play. 8-6 Bulldogs.   On the last play of the 1st qtr the Tigers took back the lead on an 18yd TD pass from Carlisle to Dillehay. Carlisle added the 2pt play, Tigers led 14-8.  In the 3rd qtr Carlisle had a 4yd TD run and Dillehay had a 42 yd TD run to give the Tigers some breathing room 26-8.  The Bulldogs hit an 8 yard TD pass midway thru the 4th qtr to make the score 26-14.  2 plays later Swindle had an 18 yard TD run and Carlisle added the 2pt play for the final score 34-14.

The Junior Tigers travel to Baxter to play in the championship game for the 5th time in five years. Macon would open the scoring as Seth Carlisle returned a punt for a score and the conversion failed. After one MCJHS 6 LA 0. Carlisle scored two more touchdowns and Macon had only one successful converstion, but so did LA. At the half Macon led 20-14. Following a defensive stand to open the 3rd, the Tigers looked poised to take control. Following a Tiger fumble, LA marches down the field to score and take the lead 22-20 midway through the 3rd quarter. The Wildcats would score again to go up 30-20 and the Tigers would tack on late score by Carlisle to make the final score 30-28. It was a hard fought game by two teams and one would have to lose. The Tigers finish as runners-up, losing to Livingston twice this season.

This year has been a great season and we hope that these Tigers continue on their football pathway. Good luck and to everyone next year, “I hope to see you at another game.”
