Three Transported After Wednesday Wreck

Investigating officer, THP Trooper Justin Mote, told the Macon County Chronicle that 58-year old Glennon Scott was driving a southbound white 2003 Jeep SUV and 71-year-old Doyle Robinson was also driving southbound in a 2004 white Ford van when the wreck occurred. Robinson’s wife, Bettie, was in the passenger’s seat. All three are from Lafayette.

“Doyle Robinson was stopped in the southbound lane of Highway 10 North due to TDOT working the area around 8:00 a.m.,” said Trooper Mote. “Mrs. Scott was also southbound, striking the rear end of Mr. Robinson’s van. When the van was hit it crossed the northbound lane and traveled up an embankment. Mrs. Scott came to rest in the northbound lane of travel heading north.”

Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were carried by ground ambulance to the Gallatin Hospital and Mrs. Scott was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

A Vanderbilt spokesperson said on Sunday afternoon, that Mrs. Scott was listed in stable condition.

The first responders were the Macon County Sheriffs Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County Rescue Squad, Lafayette Fire Department, Macon County EMS, and the Macon County Chronicle.
