Woman Struck by Truck at Roadblock

The Lafayette Police Department investigated the accident and Joni Meador was on the Tractor Supply Company (TSC) side of the intersection.

According to the police report, Mr. Aaron Shipley, who was driving a 1995 Dodge pickup, was stopped on Hwy. 52 West at the intersection, to turn left into the TSC parking lot. He stated that when it was his turn to go he started thru the intersection and there was another vehicle that was going east on Hwy. 52 and he had to swerve over to avoid getting hit by that vehicle.

The report says that Mr. Shipley also stated that he was watching that vehicle and did not see the woman standing there and he hit Ms. Meador knocking her into Mrs. Davenport who was also standing there.

Officer Stacy Woodard, of the Lafayette Police Department, investigated the accident. No charges have been filed at this time.
