Tough Week in RBS Baseball Action

The Red Boling Springs Bulldog baseball team was in heavy action again this week. Four more games were on the schedule for the Bulldogs.


On Tuesday March 18th hosted Clinton County Ky. Chance Asberry took the mound and absorbed the loss, giving up 6 runs on 6 hits. Cole Dziekiewicz pitched 2 2/3 and Nick Deckard pitched 1/3 of an inning. Deckard went 2 for 3 with one RBI while Bailey Chapman and Asberry scored the two runs. Final Clinton Co 12 RBS 2 in 6 innings.

On Friday March 21stWestmoreland came to Red Boiling for a double header. In the first game Brince Crouch went the distance giving up 10 earned runs on 16 hits and collected the loss. Crouch had the sole hit for RBS while Deckard was credited with the only RBI of the game. Final Westmoreland 10 RBS 2.

They turned right around and played the second game in the series at RBS. Justin Bergdorf, Deckard, Mason Hewitt, and Skyler Holden collected base hits which scored two runs. Logan Hewitt pitched for the Bulldogs, going 5 innings giving up 15 hits and 8 earned runs. The Eagles run-rulled the Bulldogs in 5 by a final score of 14-2.

On Saturday the 22nd, Community High came to town. Nick Deckard gets the loss as he pitches 4 innings giving up 10 hits and 7 earned runs. Dziekiewicz also pitched 2 innings and gave up 4 earned runs on 5 hits. Deckard went 2 for 2 and Dustin Bergdorf went 1 for 2 and scored one run. Community run-ruled the Bulldogs in 6 innings with a final score of 13-3.

This week the Bulldogs are scheduled to host Trousdale on the 25th, travel to Livingston on the 27th, and host Livingston on the 28th.
