The Macon County High School Tigerettes had a good week of softball action.

This week these ladies split two mid-week games and finished on a good note at a tournament in Cookeville.

On Tuesday April 1st the Tigerettes hosted District 8AA opponent Upperman. Macon could strike first and lead early but just couldn’t get their bats in gear. Final score Upperman 2 Macon 1. Paige Clark gets credit for the loss but she scored the only run and went 2 for 3 at the plate. Macon did have the tieing and winning run in scoring position in the bottom of the 7th, but could not deliver. Final score 2-1 Upperman.

On Thursday April 3rd the Owls of Smith County came to town. Clark took the mound again and pitched a shutout. She also went 3 for 4 scoring two runs. Jordan Shockley, Mary Belton, and Mackenzie Mercer all scored two runs as well. The Tigerettes win in four innings by a final score of 10-0.

Macon played in a tournament at Cookeville over the weekend. They played Friendship Christian and won by a final score of 9-0. The Tigerettes had 10 hits for the game and no errors. They then played District foe Cannon Co. In a tight game Macon plated one run in the bottom of the 1st inning, and that was enough. Final score Macon 1 Cannon 0. MCHS faced Friendship in a rematch. In a back and forth game, Friendship wins by a final score of 4-3.

This week the Tigerettes are scheduled to play DeKalb Co on the 7th, at Livingston on the 8th, and at York on the 10th of April.
