MCHS Soccer Comes From Behind for Tie

alt

The young men from Macon County showed some true grit this week against District 8AA foe Merrol Hyde. They played in a frigid game at home on Tuesday April 15th.

Merrol Hyde scored two goals in the first half. Their first goal came early in the first half and they scored a second one fairly late in the period. Macon had a few good chances but just could not convert. In the second half the Tigers turned up the pressure. Goals from Ryan Avera, Steven Dell’aquilla, and Mason Doss tied the game at 3 to 3. That is how the game would end but the Tigers showed some real metal coming from behind.

Their record is now 3-4-1 for the season. This week they are scheduled to play at DeKalb on the 22nd, host Livingston on the 24th, and at Jackson County on the 25th.
