One Flown Out From Wreck

According to Trooper Tracy Donoho, last Thursday afternoon Justin Dalton was traveling south in a Honda Accord when he crossed the center line and hit a northbound red 2002 Volkswagon head on. Eldon Kinflow, age 77, was driving that car.

“Valla Mayhew, age 25, was a passenger in the car driven by Dalton” said Trooper Donoho, who assisted wreck investigator Trooper Danny Fisher at the scene.

Trooper Donoho said Dalton had to be cut out of his vehicle and a medical helicopter landed near the crash site and he was flown out from the wreck with Vanderbilt Medical Center as the destination.

Eldon Kinflow and Valla Mayhew were both transported by ground to Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.

Vanderbilt Medical Center reported on Monday morning that Justin Dalton was listed in stable condition.

This is an on-going investigation. Trooper Johnny Rodgers also assisted Trooper Fisher at the scene.

Those responding to the crash site were the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County Sheriffs Office, Macon County EMS, Macon County Rescue Squad, Lafayette Fire Department and the Macon County Chronicle.
