Man Arrested for Solicitation of Minor

According to Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons, detectives Darrell Taylor and Phil Russell received the complaint last week and after gathering evidence and viewing material, were able to positively identify the suspect in the case as 36-year-old Daniel Wayne West of Hamblin Dr. in Lafayette.

The Goodlettsville and Metro police departments were contacted to assist in locating West’s whereabouts.

West was detained by Metro PD officers in Madison and was transported to the Macon County Sheriff’s Department, where further evidence was gathered in the case.

 West is scheduled to appear in Macon County General Sessions Court on July 23. His bond is set at $3,000.
