My View From the Press Box – MCHS Vs. Trousdale County 2014
The Tigers Win in 2 overtimes Friday night by beating the Yellow Jackets on the Creekbank in the season opener.

The Jackets scored first on a 10 yard run by Zach Blackwell and Harrison added the PAT. 7-0 TC with 7:22 1st Qtr. The Tigers answered back with a 54 yard TD pass from Seth Carlisle to Tyler Carlisle. Brandon Noles added the PAT. 7-7, 5:42 1st Qtr. Kenyon Harper ran for a 50 yard TD in the 2nd qtr and Blackwell ran for a 9 yard TD in the 3rd qtr as the Jackets built a 21-7 lead. Carlisle then ran it in for the 2pt conversion to tie the game 21-21, with 6:58 left in the 4th. The Tiger “D” made a goal line stand late to send the game into overtime. With neither team able to score, the game went to a 2nd OT. The Tiger Defense made another great goal line stand and held the Jackets out. The Tigers won the game as Seth Carlisle ran it in from the 10 on the 1st offensive play. It was a great high school football game.
Coach Nathan Wilson said after the game, “This was a total team effort. I can’t pick out one player that stood out above the rest. They all made big plays with very few break downs or mistakes. Every player and coach has worked extremely hard to get here and I so proud of them and these fans that have supported us and cheered us on. I hope everybody in Macon County can make out to cheer us on next week when we take on Westmoreland.”
