Wildcats Outmatch Tigers

The Livingston Academy Wildcats overpowered the Macon County Tigers in a district 8AA contest.


Too much Hogeye left a 42-13 win for Livingston.

The Wildcasts scored on their opening possession. Macon County would answer right back with a 13 yard run by Seth Carlisle and the PAT by Brandon Noles to tie the game 7-7 with 6:09 left in the 1st quarter. Livingston would then score four consecutive touchdowns on runs of 73, 17, 24, and 85 yards to put this game away early. At the half the score was Livingston 35 Macon 7.

The Wildcats would score on their opening possession of the second half. With the 35 point lead the clock would continue to run. Macon did manage to score on the final play of the game as Tanner Cleary would convert a 12 yard run. Final score was Livingston 42 Macon 13.

For the game Seth Carlisle was 9 of 16 for 116 yards and 1 INT while rushing 19 times for 87 yards and one touchdown. However all Tigers wait for news from an injury that Carlisle sustained against Livingston late in the 3rd quarter. Tanner Cleary went 4 of 6 for 31 yards and rushed 4 times for 18 yards and 1 touchdown. Dale Turner added 35 yards on 13 carries and 2 receptions for 32 yards. Tyler Carlisle had 4 receptions for 32 yards, Ramsey Al-Barkawi had 2 catches for 26 yards, Trace McPherson had 2 for 17 yards, and Brandon Noles had 1 catch for 34 yards. Unofficially A.J. Simpson led all tacklers with 4 tackles. Braxton Crawford had 3 tackles while Hunter Dyer, Brandon Graves, Jason Sewell, and Tanner Lowhorn had 2 tackles each.

Next week the Tigers are scheduled to travel to take on the 9AA Bobcats (2-3) in Greenbrier.
