MCHS Golf Places 4th at State Tournament

The Macon County High School boy’s golf team placed 4th in the 2014 state tournament.


The event was held at Willow Brook Golf Club.

For the two day event the team shot a 641 which put them 33 shots out of the title. The boy’s event plays five and scores the lowest four scores each day. Scores were: Larken Whittemore 77-71(7th Overall), Bryson Smith 79-75(15th), Chance Presley 84-83(46th), Josh Hauskin 82-91(55th), and Jake Reeves 84-90(61st). Spencer Hogan was the alternate. The 2014 title went to CPA(608) and the runner-up was CAK(611).

“I am extremely proud of this year’s team,” said Coach Beverly Shoulders. “We had some kids play really well in district and region play to get us to state. This will be very good experience for our young team moving forward.”
