Candidates Qualify for RBS Election

Those qualified to run for city council are incumbent Joe Hill, Joel Rae Coe, Lydia P. Lowe and Joseph (Joe) Rearden.

The three candidates for city council with the most votes in April will serve four-year terms, and the fourth place candidate will serve a two-year term.

Those elected for city council will fill two seats that are currently empty (formerly filled by Tom Fultz and Stevie Newberry) and one seat that will be vacated by Terry Newberry (running for mayor). The fourth seat opens up at the end of council member Joe Hill’s term. Hill is the only incumbent on the ballot hoping to return to the council table.

Qualified candidates can withdrawal from the election up until Thursday, January 22, 2015, at noon.

Early voting for the April 25, 2015 RBS Municipal Election will be held April 6, 2015 through April 20, 2015 at Red Boiling Springs City Hall. 

 The last day to register to vote is March 26, 2015.
