Macon County Marching Tiger Band Supports Sherry’s Run
On February 4, 2015, they made a $400 donation to Sherry’s Run from proceeds of this sale.
This is just one of the many ways the band continues to get involved and make a difference in the community through service projects. People affected by cancer right here in this community will benefit from this donation and Sherry’s Run was certainly grateful to receive this check.
“Martha Wilburn was my aunt,” said MCHS Band Director Joey Wilburn, “and she died of breast cancer in 1995, at the age of 47. This is a chance for the band to give back to the community and help those who are battling this disease.”
Your support allows Sherry’s Run to assist cancer patients 52 weeks a year with gas, groceries, utility bills, housing payments, prescription assistance, health insurance premiums, medical bills and colonoscopy assistance.
Macon County continues its support of their neighbors battling cancer with this donation.
