Report of Assault Leads to Marijuana Charge

At the scene officers became suspect that there may have been drugs involved and, after conducting interviews and gathering evidence, they received permission to search the home.

During their search officers discovered a Mason jar containing a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana bud, which was confiscated. 

Donnie Lee Roark, age 48, was arrested and charged with child abuse and possession of a Schedule VI drug. 

Roark was released on bond (set at $5,500) and is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on April 8, 2015.
