Truck Rolls, Driver Faces charges

According to Trooper Mote, 42-year-old Barry Hall, of Lafayette, was headed north on Highway 10 North (Scottsville Road) in a silver 2000 Ford F250 truck when a northbound white SUV cut him off while passing. “There was a 2011 Nissan driven by Kenneth Meador, traveling south, so the SUV turned back into the northbound lane cutting off the Hall truck,” explained Trooper Mote. “The truck ran off the northbound side of the roadway, over corrected, crossed the center line and entered the ditch line on the southbound side of the road, struck a fence line and rolled over, coming to final rest in the near by field, ejecting the driver.”

The white SUV reportedly fled the scene, and the southbound Meador car received damage due to the debris that was kicked up.

The passenger in the Ford truck was 22-year-old Mary Parsley, of Lafayette. The wreck occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m.

Barry Hall was transported to Macon County General Hospital, but he was later transferred to another medical facility. His condition was unknown at press time.

“I have issued several warrants for Barry Hall including DUI, possession of a handgun while under the influence, seat belt law and no insurance,” stated Trooper Mote.

This is an on-going investigation.

First responders were the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County EMS, Macon County Sheriffs Office, Macon County Rescue Squad, and the Macon County Chronicle.
