Man Arrested in Girlfriend’s Gruesome Murder

The work to identify the woman’s remains was ongoing at the time of this release, however,  the victim has since been identified as 38-year-old Melisha Mosier, also known as Melisha K. Ludick, – Walsh’s girlfriend who had been reported missing about a month before her body was discovered. 

According to authorities, after receiving the suspect’s consent, deputies searched his property, located on Logan Spears Road in Clay County, which led to the disturbing discovery of Mosier’s dismembered body.

Because of the nature of the crime, agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were called in by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office to help investigate.

Authorities arrested Walsh on Wednesday, August 12, and charged him with one count of Second Degree Murder. 

According to a statement released by the office of District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway, it’s anticipated that more charges will follow.

At the time of the press release, he was being held in the Clay County Jail. 

 The investigation into Melisha’s death is ongoing.
