Tigerette Soccer Has Busy Schedule

The Macon County High School Girls Soccer team has had a busy two weeks.


They have competed in 4 games over the last eight days.

On Thursday August 27th Macon hosted Jackson County. Heaven Lee scored midway through the first period followed by Sarah Morgan and the Tigerettes led 2-0 at the half. In the next 40 minute period Lyndsey Belton, Lora Darnell, and Tori King all added goals to make the final score 5-0 in favor of Macon County.

The Tigerettes would dodge the raindrops on Saturday August 29th as they hosted the Middle TN Golden Eagles. The Eagles led 1-0 at the half. Early in the 2nd period Sarah Morgan tied the game, but the Eagles quickly retook the lead 1-2. Morgan and Alexis Sarmiento then added a goal apiece for the first Macon lead. The Eagles would score late and this game would end with a 3-3 tie.

Macon would travel to East Robertson on Tuesday September 1st. Following a scoreless first half Morgan would score from near mid-field for a 1-0 Macon lead. The Lady Indians would add two goals late and Macon would lose 1-2 to East Robertson.

To close out the busy week, the Tigerettes would host Portland. The Lady Panthers were a good sound team. They led 2-0 after the first 40 minute half and would add three more goals to make the final 5-0 in their favor.

The Tigerette soccer team will face Upperman at home on September 8th. This game will be Senior night for those ladies in the class of 2016.
