Tigerette Volleyball Picks Up Two Wins

The Macon County Tigerette Volleyball team picked up two key wins this week.


They defeated Central Magnet and 8AA rival Livingston.

On Monday August 31st the Tigerettes hosted Central Magnet. They grabbed the victory in four sets with scores of: 25-18, 25-18, 24-26, and 25-21. In the game Jordyn Patterson had 24 aces and 23 assists while Kayley Scruggs had 19 kills and 4 blocks.

On Tuesday September 1st Macon hosted their rival Livingston. For the past couple of years the Lady Wildcats have been the toughest district competition for the Tigerettes. Macon spiked Livingston in straight sets with scores of: 25-23, 25-11, and 25-18. Sarah Carter had 2 aces and 2 blocks while Jordan Shockley had 12 total digs in the match.

The undefeated Tigerettes are coached by Brittny Dodson and assisted by Shari Bowers, Kelly Swindle, and Brooke Smith. They travel to Central on Sep 10th before playing in the Sonic Blast Tournament on Sep 11th and 12th.
