Officers Raid Residence on Pryor Lane

A search warrant was served at the residence by Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons and department officers and detectives last Friday, October 16.

During their search, officers discovered numerous items that had previously been reported stolen in other theft cases.

Items included a lawnmower, trailers, various hand tools, a welder and saws. The value of these items totaled over $10,000.

Also found at the scene were substances that appeared to be methamphetamine, pipes, scales and other paraphernalia used in the re-sale of meth.

Officers also seized a large amount of cash believed to be the profits from the sale of meth.

One arrest has been made in this case and additional charges are pending.

Owners of the recovered stolen property are being notified.

Those who assisted Sheriff Gammons in raid were detectives Darrell Taylor, Shane Gregory, Ron Smith and Donnie Crawford and officers Josh Meador, Jennifer Coley, Troy Griggs, Terry Atkins, Jason Bohanan, William Tuck, Tim Freeman and K-9 Gordy.

The sheriff would like to remind Macon County residents that anyone reporting illegal drug activity to his office can remain anonymous.
