Citizen Reports Masked Woman

According to LPD Lt. Jason Roberts on Saturday morning Officer Shane Reed was dispatched to Walmart after a caller stated that a subject sitting in a dark blue Nissan Altima was wearing a mask. Upon arrival Officer Reed spotted the described vehicle and when he drove by he noticed a female sitting in the passenger side with something on her head that looked like a skull.

Officer Reed stated in his report that when he stopped and went to speak with the female, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle as he approached it. There was also a female passenger in the back seat. When he asked the two women about the marijuana they both said there was none in the car.

Both females were ordered to step out of the vehicle, so the officer could find and secure the illegal drugs. By this time other LPD officers had arrived at the scene to assist Officer Reed.

The suspects were identified as 21-year-old Destiny Star Zeiman of Lebanon and 18-year-old Angela Renee Dieters of Murfreesboro.

Reed stated that Angela Dieters became very irrate and didn’t want him to search the Altima. Once both females were out of the car, it was discovered that Destiny Zeiman had an active warrant for her arrest in Wilson County and Officer Woodard placed her in custody.

Located inside the vehicle were several small baggies and a couple of glass pipes used for smoking meth. At this point, according to Officer Reed, Dieters became irrate again and started yelling for her boyfriend and screaming that he was huring her so he placed her in custody as well. While attemping to place her under arrest she tried to get away.

It was also discovered that Angela Dieters had an active warrant out of Rutherford County.

According to Reed, when he continued searching the vehicle he found a loaded short barreled shotgun under the passenger side seat and also a loaded Raven Arms 25 cal pistol beside the drivers seat.

Officer Reed asked Destiny Zeiman if she had anything else on her person because if she took anything into the jail that it would be a separate felony charge. The suspect said she had something in her bra which she retrived. It was a small blue container with a white crystal substance inside, which was believed to be methamphetamine. When asked whose it was she instantly replied “it’s ours.”

Reed stated that the male subject, identified as Brad Welch, who was driving the vehicle, remained inside Walmart and didn’t come out. “Attempts were made to find him, but video evidence showed that he made it out of the store before we could find him.”

Warrants will be filed for Brad Welch.

In officers Reed’s report he also stated that when he took Angela Dieters to be booked, the female corrections officer discovered a a bag of marijuana hidden in the suspects bra.

Angela Renee Dieters was charged with introduction of drugs into county institution, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule II drugs, simple possession, resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Destiny Star Zeiman was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule II drugs.

“We don’t know what these suspects intentions were,” said Lt. Roberts, “and we encourage all citizens to be observant. If you see anything suspicious please don’t hesitate to call us. It is better to be safe than sorry.”
