Woman Airlifted from Wreck Scene

The wreck happened late Wednesday afternoon, February 10, at the intersection of Rocky Mound and Westfork Creek Road.

According to wreck investigator, Trooper Cody Ballard, 27-year-old Tiffany Sadler, of Lafayette, was driving a white 2003 Chevy Malibu west on Westfork Creek Road. “She failed to stop at the intersection of Rocky Mound Road and her automobile was struck in the driver’s side by a 1997 Ford Explorer operated by 45-year-old Curtis Wayne Cole of Westmoreland,” stated Trooper Ballard.

Ms. Sadler had to be extricated from the car and she had an unrestrained child passenger.

“A medical helicopter landed in a church parking lot next to the wreck scene and Tiffany Sadler was airlifted to an area hospital for medical treatment,” said Trooper Ballard. “The young child was carried by ground ambulance for treatment.”

Curtis Cole wasn’t injured and he was transported to the Macon County Jail, where he was charged with violation of probation.

Other charges are pending.

First responders were the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Macon County EMS, Air Evac, West Macon Rescue Squad and the Macon County Chronicle.
