Stolen Motorcycle Recovered

According to Macon County Sheriff Mark Gammons, detectives established leads over a period of several months and met with Clay County officers on February 29, 2016 at a clay County residence believed to be where the stolen motorcycle was being kept.

The land owner met authorities and upon entering a building located on the property, the CR 125 motorcycle was identified by authorities as the motorcycle reported stolen in October 2015.

The owner of the building did not know that stolen items were being held there.

Macon County officers retrieved the motorcycle, which was valued at over $1,000. The motorcycle was later identified by the owner and returned to him.

Suspects in this case have been established and charges are pending.

Sheriff Gammons would like to thank the Macon County Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives and the Clay County officers who assisted in this case.
