Bulldogs Pick-up Two Big Wins
The Bulldogs are winding down the regular season with a number of games this week.
They played Clinton County, Macon County, Jackson County and Clarkrange.
The Bulldogs faced Clinton County at home on Apr 25th. Chance Asberry pitched a complete game and allowed only 1 earned run on 5 hits with 7 strikeouts. Justin Bergdorff went 2 for 3 and singled in the 1st and doubled in the 7th. Dustin Bergdorff added 2 RBIs in the 1st as well. RBS never trailed and the win by a final score of 3-1.
The Bulldogs hosted cross county rival Macon County on Apr 28th. Cole Dziekiewicz threw 125 pitches in the complete game and gave up 3 earned runs on only 3 hits and recorded 10 strike-outs in the loss. Bailey Anderson homered in the bottom of the 6th and Justin Bergdorff doubled in the second run in the bottom of the 7th. However, Macon was able to hold off the Bulldogs by a final score of 4-2.
Next Red Boling Springs hosted Jackson County on Apr 29th. This was a nip and tuck contest with seven different ties or lead changes in seven frames of play. Asberry threw a complete game for RBS and allowed 2 earned runs on 9 hits and no walks. Dustin Bergdorff paced the Bulldogs by going 3 for 4 from the plate with 3 RBIs. Justin Bergdorff went 1 for 2 with an RBI and a run scored. The Bulldogs break open a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the 6th inning to take the victory 5-3.
The Bulldogs were schedulet to close out the week with an away game at Clarkrange on Apr 30th. However as we have not information at presstime, we assume that the game was rained out on Saturday.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to close out the regular season with an away game at Westmoreland on May 2nd and host Clarkrange on May 3rd.
