Late Saturday afternoon, May 7, Trooper Danny Fisher stopped a white 2002 Pontiac Sunfire for a seat belt violation, in front of Macon County Junior High School on Highway 52 By Pass East. “When I ran the vehicle identification number it came back as stolen out of Trousdale County,” said Trooper Fisher.

The driver was identified as 29-year-old Heather Nicole Jones and the passenger was 23-year-old Brittany Tarneil Stafford, both of Trousdale County. “The car was reported stolen on April 25, in Hartsville,” said Fisher. “There was a warrant on Jones in Trousdale County for joyriding.”

Both suspects were transported to the Macon County Justice Center where they were booked.
