Smith County Indicts RBS Man

On Monday, August 1, the Smith County Grand Jury indicted Todd Dewayne Meadows, of Red Boiling Springs, after he was arrested in Carthage on May 22, for allegedly “stalking” his ex-wife.
After an investigation by the Carthage Police Department in May, 45-year-old Dewayne Meadows, was charged with stalking, two counts of aggravated assault, failure to report an accident, failure to give immediate notice of an accident, failure to exercise due care and reckless endangerment.
According to Eddie West, of the Carthage Courier, the stalking charges stem from Meadows allegedly driving by his former wife’s house “at a slow pace” on more than one occasion. She also reported to police receiving threatening text messages from her former husband. In addition, charges involve a wreck which resulted in minor damage.
There was also allegations that Meadows “swerved” at a vehicle in which his ex-wife was traveling.
Todd Meadows bond following his May arrest was $10,000.
