Tigerette Soccer Gets 5th Win

The Macon County Tigerette Soccer team notched their 5th win of the season.


They got the “W” over Region 4A-AA opponent DeKalb County at home on September 6th.

In only the second home match of the season, the Tigerettes grabbed a quick lead. Sarah Morgan and Keeley Carter scored two goals in the first two and a half minutes to blitz DeKalb and take a 2-0 lead. The game would be tied at 2-2 before Carter could convert a 2nd goal to take a 3-2 lead at the half. Kat Kemp scored early in the second period and Carter completed her hat trick to take a 5-2 lead at the 10 minute mark. A goal from Jamie Ashburn and a 4th goal from Carter put this game out of reach. Final score Macon 7 DeKalb County 3.
 
The Tigerettes will now take their 5-0-1 record to Mt Juliet Christian for a 5 pm match on September 13th.
