MCHS Volleyball

The Macon County High School Volleyball team won against Cannon Co on Tuesday Sept 13th in the Nera White Gymnasium.

Scores of the game were 25-6, 25-5, and 25-4. Sara Hix led the team with 10 Aces and 8 digs. Sarah Carter and Brooklyn Brawner both had 6 kills each and Allie Dixon led the team with 23 sets. Macon County will travel to New Castle, KY this weekend the 16th and 17th for a tournament.

The MCHS Volleyball team travelled to Henry County, KY for a tournament on Sept 16th and 17th. They played 3 games in pool play winning all three against: Bullitt Central, Kennwood, and Henry County. The Tigerettes took first place in their pool. In the first round of the tournament, Macon Co won against West Creek with scores of 25-15 and 25-22 which then advanced them to the semi-finals. Unfortunately, Macon Co lost to Trimble Co in the semi-finals with scores of 25-17, 18-25, and 18-25. The Tigerettes went home with a record of 4-1 from the tournament. Sarah Carter led the team with a total of 62 kills overall and 102 digs overall. Sara Hix led with 10 aces overall. Gracie Andrews led with 18 blocks overall.  Allie Dixon led the team with 200 sets overall. The Volleyball team will face Upperman away Tuesday the 20th and Central Magnet home on Thursday the 22nd.
