Macon County runners competed in the Gatorland Invitational on September 24th in Bowling Green.


Girls running for Macon County High School were: Shaylee Ellingson(19th)21:54, Taylor Cox(37th)22:59, Keelie Tucker(101st)25:43, Sydni Bowman(177th) 29:40. There were no team results for girls. Running for the MCHS boys were: Isaac Wakefield(96th)19:39, Jared Hill(141st)20:33, Cameron Mercer(148th)20:50, Isaac Marshall(228th)22:51, Eric Davis(246th)23:33, Josh Morris(261st)24:11, Gregory Kirby(283rd)25:17, and Ben Ellis(288th)25:51. The boys team finished  20th in the team scoring. High school normally runs a 5K distance.

The Macon County Junior High team also competed in this race. Running for the girls team was: Selena Rios(27th)19:48, Donavyn Green(51st)22:06, and Kaelan Tucker(104st)26:00. There are no team results for the girls. Running for the boys was: Elliott McGuire(11th)15:44, Landon Whittemore(41st) 17:15, Isaac Kirby(93rd)18:47, Bryson Davenport(126th)20:05, Cole Gibbs(130th)20:09, and Aidan Flynn(141st)20:33. The boys team placed 11th out of 22 teams. Junior High courses are normally 2 miles.
