Semi Overturns in Clampett Hollow

According to a report filed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Junius C. Farmer, of Ridgeway, South Carolina, was driving a southbound 2014 International Tractor on Clampett Hollow Road in Macon County. As the vehicle was negotiating a curve, the trailer dropped off the right side of the roadway. When the trailer dropped off the roadway, the load shifted and pulled the semi off the road. The tractor and trailer overturned and came to rest down a steep embankment.

Clampett Hollow Road was closed for several hours while the semi was being removed.

The driver was wearing his seat belt. There were no citations or criminal charges.

Trooper Danny Fisher was the investigating officer.

Those responding to the scene were the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County Sheriffs Office, Macon County EMS, and the Macon County Chronicle.
