Woman Dies in Afternoon Crash

The New Harmony Road has claimed another life when a 38-year-old woman died in a single car crash on Monday afternoon, November 28, in Macon County.



The victim has been identified as Logan Nicole Riley, of Hartsville.

According to crash investigator, Trooper Gerald Carter, Ms. Riley was driving north bound in a 2005 Chevy Classic, when she lost control on the wet road while negotiating a curve, ran off the left side of the roadway, flipped, and hit some trees. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Macon County Rescue Squad was called to the scene to extricate Ms. Riley from her automobile.

First responders included the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County Sheriffs Office, Macon County EMS, Macon County Rescue Squad and the Macon County Chronicle.
