City of RBS to Enforce Leash Law

The City of Red Boiling Springs has plans to start enforcing a leash law. Dogs running at large are prohibited as stated in Section 10-208 of the city charter. The code states that it shall be unlawful for any person to allow a dog belonging to him, or under his control, to run at large, and any such person whose dog is found to be running at large shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to the penalty provided in the general penalty clause for this code. Officers of the Red Boiling Springs Police Department will start issuing citations for anyone violating this law. This plan will go into effect on Monday, January 23, 2017.
