Man Killed in Tractor Accident

Mr. Earl Wayne White, of the Cedar Bluff Community in Lafayette, was tragically killed in a tractor accident on Friday afternoon, March 24, on Cedar Bluff Road.

The Macon County Sheriffs Department investigated the accident and according to the report, Mr. White was operating his John Deere tractor on his property around the 900 block of Cedar Bluff Road. He had a disc behind the tractor, and along the edge of a bank the dirt broke loose and the tractor flipped into the road pinning him underneath. He sustained a head injury and was deceased at the scene. 

Funeral services for Earl Wayne White, age 62, were conducted on Monday, March 27, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Walter Andrews and Elder Ricky White officiating. Interment was in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Cathy Gammons White; sons, Jason White, Jacob (Lauren) White; grandchildren, Jacob Edward White, Luke Everett White, Kerryn Shaw; step-brothers, Albert Harper (Carol), Don Harper, Mike (Vickie) Harper, Charlie (Angela) Harper; step sister, Pat Jones.
