Bulldog Baseball Loses Three

The RBS Bulldog baseball team had a tough week this week as they dropped three games. In between rainy and cold days they played Trousdale County and Macon County.
 
After the home game at RBS was cancelled, the Bulldogs played a doubleheader against Trousdale County on Tuesday Apr 4th. In the first game Yellow Jacket Wiley Barton threw 6 innings allowing 8 hits, 1 earned run, and 8 strike-outs. Dylan Coker got the win pitching one scoreless inning in the 7th allowing just one hit. Bulldog Cole Dziekiewicz threw 7 innings and allowed 8 hits, 2 earned runs with 8 strike-outs. Trousdale broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the 7th to get the win 6-1 led by Logan Calhoun who hit 3 for 4 scoring two runs. Bulldog Cameron Cothron was 2 for 3 and scored the only run from an RBI by Bailey Anderson.
 
In the second game Trousdale scored runs in every half-inning they were at bat. The Yellow Jackets plated five, two, six, and on in successive innings to get a 14-1 win in 5 innings. Trousdale’s Logan Hewitt threw 5 innings and allowed 2 hits, 1 earned run, and 11 strike-outs for the win. Hewitt helped his own cause with 2 RBIs as well as 2 RBIs from Kobe Pridemore and 3 RBIs from Barton. Bulldog Justin Bergdorf had the only hit and scored the only run in the game for the Bulldogs.
 
The Bulldogs played Macon County on Friday Apr 7th. They lost by a score of 0-10 in 5 innings. Stats for the Bulldogs were not available at press time.
 
This week the Bulldogs are scheduled to travel to Watertown on Apr 10th, travel to Jackson County on Apr 13th, and play Clinton County, KY on Apr 14th.
