Woman Airlifted Following Wreck

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle wreck that resulted in a Lafayette woman being airlifted to a Nashville hospital on Friday afternoon, June 2.

 

According to Trooper Cody Ballard, 59-year-old Vickie McNabb was driving a southbound blue Suzuki automobile on Highway 10 South, near Summers Radiator & Auto Repair, when she crossed into the northbound lane and landed in a deep ditch on the eastbound side.

Ms. McNabb was airlifted by a medical helicopter and her condition was not known on Monday afternoon.

Charges are pending in the wreck that was reported to have occurred around 4:25 p.m.

Those responding to the scene were the THP, Macon County Sheriffs Office, Macon County EMS, Lafayette Fire Department, Macon County Rescue Squad and the Macon County Chronicle.
