On Wednesday, October 4, a Macon County woman was airlifted to a Nashville hospital after she ran off the Scottsville Road in her vehicle and struck a tree.
Trooper Danny Fisher, of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, was the investigating officer.
According to Trooper Fisher, 58-year-old Mrs. Lisa Green, was driving toward town in a white Lincoln Navigator, when she apparently blacked out, ran off the road and struck a tree.
Emergency personnel was called to the scene to get Mrs. Green out of the vehicle and a medical helicopter landed in the field next to Wolf Hill Tires, which was near the wreck scene, to transport her by air to Skyline Hospital for treatment.
Those responding to the scene were the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Macon County Sheriffs Office, Macon County Rescue Squad, Lafayette Fire Department, Macon County EMS, and the Macon County Chronicle.
