Urgent Care Clinic Coming to Lafayette

By Jessie Williams

The Lafayette planning commission recently approved plot plans submitted by Fast Pace Urgent Care, for a new clinic to be located between Walgreens and the Lafayette Post Office on Ellington Drive.

Fast Pace has numerous urgent care centers in Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi, with the closest facility located in Carthage, TN.
The clinics offer a wide range of services including treatment, occupational health, prevention and wellness and monitoring and management of various conditions.
The approved plot plan for the Lafayette location shows a proposed 3,600 square-foot building with three sides of wrap-around parking.
With the plot plan approved, Fast Pace will next be submitting construction plans to the planning commission.
City of Lafayette Mayor Richard Driver says this is an exciting time as new businesses, including Burger King and the Lafayette Pharmacy, are popping up in the area and many others are viewing Macon County as a growing and prosperous place to plant roots.
